Instructions on adjusting the clearance between the screw shaft and the barrel on the Haitian MA series machines.

1. Causes of the noise

  • Impurities or iron particles get inside the puller barrel.

  • The problem stems from the raw materials.

  • The clearance between the screw shaft and the puller barrel is not up to standard due to geometric or installation errors.

2. Points to check and address

  • Balance: Check and remeasure the balance of the machine body.

  • Barrel play: Check if the barrel is tilting downwards due to improper installation.

  • Cooling system: Ensure the cooling system nuts are tightened securely.

  • Concentricity of the coupling: Check the concentricity of the coupling, ensuring it does not exceed the permissible standard.

  • Drying time: Ensure a minimum cold start resistance time of 30 minutes when heating the puller barrel.

  • Guide rails: Check the straightness and proper installation of the guide rails.

3. Technical adjustment process

  • Using a feeler gauge: Use a 0.02 mm feeler gauge to check the narrowest points between the outer diameter of the screw shaft and the inner hole of the puller barrel (at 8 points on the support).

  • Adjusting the rear support: * If the gap at the two lower left corners is small: Loosen the corresponding screws and adjust to press down or lift up.

    • The typical adjustment range is between 1.0 mm and 1.5 mm .

  • Concentricity measurement: Use a center gauge to remeasure the concentricity of the frame and the puller barrel; the inherent error should be within 0.30 mm .

4. Post-adjustment check

  • After making adjustments, conduct a test run of the system and spray at a slow speed.

  • Ensure the machine runs smoothly and there are no unusual noises coming from the screw assembly.
